Update of Cafe Church
Cafe Church this year has been the best yet. More people attended, all five Sundays were fine and at the end of the season new people are feeling that they may have found the church home they have been looking for. One of the most significant moments for us was when we celebrated communion with great worship and a free time of ministry as we informally shared bread and wine with each other, all with buses driving by and people stopping to watch. Now to the new season; central to the month of September will be a worship conference starting Friday 17th at 8pm and continuing with non-stop worship for forty hours to Sunday morning. Our theme for the month is “Restoring David’s fall tent”. With many new opportunities to serve in our borough we believe it is God’s heart to renew intimacy in worship and authority in prayer. The new Sunday evening programme is also available cover the autumn period up to the end of the year. Now sharing with other churches in the area the evening times are offering serious teaching opportunities. In a series of studies that “Release the Power” of the gospels Andrew Turner carries on his studies in the Beatitudes, Andrew White states a series “A walk through Mark’s gospel and Frank Payne looks at the parables of the Kingdom. Living in a society that is increasing rejecting God’s Kingdom, why not come along and be refreshed in the study of God’s word. Again please check out the programme on this website.
